Hello and welcome to Food For Fought
Thank you so much for stopping by the site! If you are new to Food For Fought, you should know that we’re all about homemade, real food, and recipes that are also simple and easy to make.
BUT, I have to admit, I do have a sweet tooth. OK, a salty one too!
So while I eat healthy the majority of times (oh, hi Crispy Seasoned Kale Chips, ), I have no problem indulging—as you will see through a lot of our recipes…
You will find a mix of sweet and savory recipes, desserts, snacks, lunches, and dinners!
Judi is the recipe developer, chief baker, and recipe creator.
Vicki is the content creator, social media updater, promoter, food photographer AND also the taste tester, which is a pretty sweet deal. I’m the one who posts to the blog and will most likely answer your questions (and, if its food related, I’ll be getting the answer from my mom first as she is the expert there).
Together we are ‘FOOD FOR FOUGHT’
What you will find here is;
- Recipes that we love and we hope you will love too
- Cooking tips and tricks to help you in your kitchen
- A pinch of humor
- A slice of family life
- and a large helping of reality
Where we get the recipes
If we have pulled a recipe from another source, we try to attribute that source where we can.
The recipes we share use mostly whole food ingredients and only occasionally a few things from cans or prepared foods. We believe in a varied, healthy diet, and balance meaning you do not have to go without dessert.
Since we are developing recipes in our home kitchens, all of our recipes are made with the home cook in mind. We want you to love our recipes as much as we do!
Comments are open on recipes and posts. When leaving comments, we ask that you think of this website as our home. Please don’t say anything on this site that you wouldn’t, as an invited guest, say in someone’s home. Constructive criticism is welcome, as we all benefit from such advice.
Questions are also welcome; we will attempt to answer them in a timely manner. Before you ask a question, please check to see if your question has already been addressed in either the recipe introduction or comments other people have made.
Rude, mean, or obnoxious comments are not welcome and will not be approved to post (we will gently escort a misbehaving guest out of the house). Overly self-promotional or spammy comments will also not be approved to post. Please restrict your comments to the topic at hand, for the benefit of all who may be reading.
Advertising and Amazon Links
From time to time we may link to Amazon.com to help you find where you can easily buy kitchen tools or books we recommend.
We may receive a small commission for any sales made from these links. These commissions, plus any fees from ads that are displayed on the site, support the running of Food For Fought.
Food For Fought either owns the copyright or has the rights to use all photographs on the site. Please contact us to obtain permission if you would like to use a photo on this site.
In general we don’t mind if our photos are republished on other sites as long as there is a link back to the recipe from which the photo is taken, and as long as the recipe itself is not also published with the photograph.
Use of Our Recipes
If you love one of our recipes on Food For Fought and would like to share it on your own website, please;
- re-write the instructions in your own unique words (rather than copying and pasting ours),
- write your own headnotes (do not copy ours),
- credit the recipe author by name, and
- provide a working link back to the source recipe on Food For Fought.
